February 2014: Another class-action lawsuit was filed against 23andMe for allegedly deceptively advertising that its DNA Kit could provide consumers with, among other things, reports on “240+ health conditions and traits” without scientific evidence to support such claims and without approval from the FDA. (Guthrie et al v. 23andMe, Inc., Case No. 14-cv-01258, W. D. PA.).
