Advertised Prices for Breakfast Sandwiches at Starbucks
May 2015: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Starbucks for allegedly deceptively advertising prices for breakfast sandwiches – including the reduced-fat turkey bacon breakfast sandwich and the sausage and cheddar breakfast sandwich – that are lower than the ones actually charged by baristas. According to the complaint, Starbucks misleadingly advertises the price of the turkey bacon sandwich as $3.45 when it actually costs $3.75 and the price of the sausage and cheddar sandwich as $3.25 when it actually costs $3.45.
