Almond Breeze Vanilla Almondmilk

December 2020: A federal court judge dismissed the Cosgrove case concluding that reasonable consumers would associate the word “vanilla” with a flavor and not an ingredient. Plaintiffs then filed a Notice of Appeal regarding the dismissal.

September 2019: Two class-action lawsuits were filed against Blue Diamond Growers for allegedly misleadingly marketing Almond Breeze Vanilla Almondmilk as containing vanilla when, according to plaintiffs, the ingredient list does not include vanilla but rather discloses that the products contain unspecified “Natural Flavor.” Click on the links below to read each complaint.

Later in September, the Varelli case was voluntarily dismissed for undisclosed reasons. The Cosgrove case remains pending.
