Apple’s iOS update
In late 2017 and early 2018, multiple class-action lawsuits were filed against Apple for allegedly misrepresenting that an iOS update to the operating software of iPhones was compatible with older iPhone models when, according to the complaints, the older phones did not function properly after the update was installed. Plaintiffs claim that Apple did not disclose that consumers who installed the update would experience several issues with the phones, including slow performance, unexpected shutdowns, and problems with the battery.
