July 2017: A federal judge dismissed this complaint finding that it did not plausibly allege that the packaging was deceptive.

March 2017:class-action lawsuit was filed against Blistex for allegedly misleadingly labeling Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment as containing 6 grams of ointment when, in reality, the tube’s hard plastic dispenser prevents consumers from accessing approximately 23% of the ointment, meaning that only 77% of the 6 grams are usable. (Hillen et al v. Blistex, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-2074, N. D. IL.)
