Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone Systems in Toyota Vehicles

October 2019: Plaintiffs filed an amended complaint bringing similar allegations.

September 2019: The case was transferred to federal court. (Case No. 19-cv-2550, E. D. MO.)

June 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Toyota for allegedly representing that drivers can use the Bluetooth hands-free phone systems in vehicles to make and receive phone calls without adequately disclosing that an echo defect makes the hands-free system difficult to use. (Freeman et al v. Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., Case No. 19SL-CC03022, Missouri State Court – St. Louis)
