Charter and Spectrum’s Advertised Internet Speeds

In March 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Charter Communications and Spectrum Management for allegedly deceptively advertising internet speeds and access that they could not deliver. Specifically, the complaint alleges that the companies advertised “fast, reliable [i]nternet speeds” with “no buffering,” “slowdowns,” and “lag” when, in reality, the companies used equipment, network, and infrastructure that could not deliver the advertised internet speeds.
