In May 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Closets by Design for allegedly deceptively advertising discounts on home organizer systems. Specifically, plaintiffs claim that the company misleadingly offers 40% and $200 discounts off of reference prices when, according to the complaint, the organizer systems were never sold for the reference prices and the discounted prices were actually the regular prices.
