In February 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against WBM International for allegedly falsely advertising Himalayan Glow® Salt Lamps (which use salt-covered light bulbs) and Salt Candle Holders provide many health benefits when such claims are not true. Among other things, the complaint alleges that the products are claimed to treat depression, provide relief from migraine headaches, reduce the severity of asthma attacks, and reduce the vulnerability to colds and flus without adequate scientific evidence to support such claims.
