‘Forever Chemicals’ in Band-Aids
Lawsuit alleges environmental claims don’t stick.
In April 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against AM Retail Group for allegedly misleadingly advertising “deep discounts” on its Wilson’s Leather men’s and women’s outerwear and accessories sold in retail outlet stores. According to the complaint, the stores misleadingly compare a “Ticket” price (i.e., regular price) to a “Sale” price when the merchandise is actually never offered for sale at the “Ticket” price and the “Sale” price is actually the regular price for merchandise. (John et al v. AM Retail Group, Inc. dba Wilsons Leather, and Does 1-100, Case No. 17-cv-727, S. D. CA.)
