Compostable Plates and Bowls from Amazon

November 2020: This case was voluntarily dismissed without prejudice.

June 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Amazon for allegedly misleadingly advertising disposable plates and bowls as compostable when, according to plaintiffs, the products contain ingredients that do not break down into usable compost. (Nguyen et al v., Inc., Case No. 20-cv-4042, N.D. Cal.)
