Craftsman Wet/Dry Vacuums

In August 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Stanley Black & Decker alleging that its Craftsman wet/dry vacuums only achieve a small fraction of the advertised peak horsepower. For example, the complaint alleges that the actual peak horsepower of vacuums marketed as having a “5 Peak HP” and “6.0 Peak HP” is only about 1.609 and 1.689, respectively. (Montgomery et al v. Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. d/b/a Craftsman, Case No. 19-cv-1182, D. CT.)
