In December 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against The Kraft Heinz Company for allegedly misleadingly labelling that its Crystal Light drink products contain no artificial flavors when, according to plaintiffs, the products contain the synthetic ingredient malic acid. (Noohi et al v. The Kraft Heinz Company, Case No. 19-cv-10658, C. D. Cal.)
