Disclosures in Apple’s App Store

In June 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Apple for allegedly using its own ratings categories for games in the App Store that fail to disclose to consumers, including children, that certain games – including FIFA Soccer, Mario Kart Tour, Roblox, and Brawl Stars – use Loot Boxes, which are allegedly a form a gambling. (Taylor et al v. Apple, Inc., Case No. 20-cv-3906, N.D. Cal.)
