Discounts at Coach Outlets
May 2016: A false advertising class-action lawsuit against Coach was transferred from a court in California to one in New York. The complaint, which was originally filed in December 2015, alleges that Coach deceptively advertises discounts at its outlet stores by, among other things, never offering the products for sale at the represented MFSRP price and manufacturing lower-quality products exclusively for the outlet stores without ever selling the products at retail stores. (Esparza et al v. Coach, Inc. et al, Case No. 16-cv-3677, S. D. NY.)
