EverSleek KeratinCaring Hair Products

September 2020: A federal judge dismissed the complaint concluding that a “simple reading” of the ingredients list and other statements on the product label make it clear that the hair products do not contain keratin.

May 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against L’Oreal for allegedly falsely advertising that EverSleek KeratinCaring shampoos and conditioners contain keratin when, according to plaintiffs, the products do not contain any keratin and do not provide benefits associated with the ingredient. (DeVane et al v. L’Oreal USA, Inc., Case No. 19-cv-4362, S.D.N.Y.)
