FIGs Apparel for Healthcare Professionals

In August 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against FIGS, Inc. for allegedly falsely advertising that its medical scrubs and lab coats for healthcare professionals have silver ions incorporated into the fabric that make the apparel “antimicrobial” and which “kills bacteria and infection immediately on contact” when, according to plaintiffs, there is no scientific evidence to support such claims. (Torres et al v. FIGs, Inc., Case No. 19-cv-1432, C. D. CA.)
