April 2013: A class-action lawsuit was filed against the marketers of FitFlop Footwear for allegedly running a deceptive marketing campaign. The complaint alleges the shoes are advertised as proven to improve posture, increase muscle activation and toning, and reduce joint strain when, in actuality, there are no well-designed scientific studies to support such health benefit claims.  (Glaberson v.
