Folgers Coffees

In January 2021, a class-action lawsuit was filed against The J. M. Smucker Company and The Folger Coffee Company for allegedly overstating the number of cups of coffee that Folgers ground coffee products can make. For example, plaintiffs claim that the product label represents that the 25.4 ounce canister of Folgers CoffeeHouse Blend “makes up to 210” cups of coffee when, according to the complaint, the product cannot make more than 169 cups of coffee. (Marthaller et al v. The J. M. Smucker Company and The Folger Coffee Company, Case No. 21-cv-21, E.D. Wash.)
