Fortnite

In June 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Epic Games for allegedly misleadingly advertising the video game Fortnite as being free when, according to plaintiffs, the game is designed to get players to make in-app purchases for virtual supplies and game currency, among other things. (Doe et al v. Epic Games, Inc., Case No. 19-cv-3629, N. D. CA.)
