“So you take lots of pictures with your smartphone, right? The problem is there’s never been an easy or affordable way to get all those photos printed,” says a radio advertisement for the FreePrints application from PhotoAffections. The app, available in the iTunes, Android, and Windows app stores, allows you to print photos from your phone or Facebook “free,” provided you’re willing to pay for shipping and handling and for photos in sizes other than 4×6 inches. And you’re limited to 1000 “free” photos a year, and 85 in any given month, and one print of any given photo.

We think it’s worth pointing out that most pharmacies have instant photo printing stations that can print pictures from smartphones and Facebook, which seems both easy and affordable. And while those prints are not “free,” you don’t have to pay for shipping and handling. Plus the pharmacy doesn’t require an app that accesses your phone call information.
