Graco’s TurboBooster Highback Car Seat and AFFIX Youth Booster Seat

In August 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Graco Children’s Products and Newell Brands for allegedly deceptively advertising TurboBooster Highback Car Seats and AFFIX Youth Booster Seats as safe for children who weigh as little as 30 pounds and side-impact tested when, according to the complaint, the seats are not safe for children who weigh less than 40 pounds and do not provide protection in side impacts. (Chavez et al v. Graco Children’s Products, Inc. and Newell Brands DTC, Inc., Case No. 20-cv-3302, N.D. Ga.)
