August 2019: This case was transferred from state court to federal court. (Case No. 19-cv-3734, N. D. GA.)

July 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Grand Canyon University for allegedly deceptively marketing its academic programs for professional degrees in education and healthcare when, according to plaintiffs, the programs are not accredited and most states do not accept degrees from the school. (Austin et al v. Grand Canyon University, Inc. and Grand Canyon Education, Inc., Case No. 2019CV324006, Georgia State Court – Fulton)
