The Heart-Check Mark on Starkist Tuna

In April 2018, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Starkist Co. for allegedly making consumers believe that its tuna products are healthier than its competitors by placing the American Heart Association Heart-Check Mark on labels without disclosing that the Heart-Check Mark is a paid endorsement. (Warner et al v. Starkist Co., Case No. 18-cv-406, N. D. NY.)
