Instant Check Mate

We recently received this e-mail. Our Malware that sneaks onto your computer software prevents us from opening any of the links, but right off the bat it looks fishy. Here’s why:

• Public arrest records are already, well, public. How you can find them varies from state to state, but they should be available. Doing a web search for “your state + department of criminal justice” should be a good place to start.
  
• Hyperbolic warnings are always cause for skepticism. That includes “Please prepare yourself for the distasteful possibility that what you see may be shocking.”
