June 2020: The case was transferred from state court to federal court. (Case No. 20-cv-5676, C.D. Cal.)

September 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Intelius for allegedly misleadingly displaying in large, bold font that the price of a search on its website is $0.95 without adequately disclosing that consumers who make purchases will be automatically enrolled in recurring monthly subscriptions that cost $29.95 a month. (Warnock et al v. PeopleConnect Inc. d/b/a Intelius, Case No. 19-cv-0539, California State Court – San Luis Obispo)
