Summary of Action
As a result of these findings, TINA.org sent a warning letter to Jeunesse on September 25, 2015 notifying it of TINA.org’s findings and asking that the company remedy the deceptive marketing immediately. While the company admitted that “misrepresentations of the kind that [TINA.org] allege[s] clearly are prohibited by our rules of conduct” and indicated that it “is in the process of adding new fulltime employees to the compliance group in the coming weeks,” the majority of examples of deceptive health and income claims regarding the Jeunesse business opportunity and product lines published in TINA.org’s databases were still up on the Internet three weeks after sending the company a warning.
Accordingly, on October 19, 2015, TINA.org filed a complaint letter with the Federal Trade Commission and Florida Attorney General urging them to take action. For more information, use the menu.
