Kellogg’s Raisin Bran, Frosted Mini-Wheats, Smart Start, and Nutri-Grain Bars
May 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Kellogg for allegedly misleadingly marketing its cereals and bars – including Kellogg’s Raisin Bran, Frosted Mini-Wheats, Smart Start, and Nutri-Grain bars – as being healthy when, according to the complaint, they contain large amounts of added sugar, which increases the risk of various health issues. (DiGregorio et al v. Kellogg Sales Co., Case No. 19-cv-632, N. D. NY.)
When a complaint is dismissed without prejudice, an amended version of the complaint can be refiled.
