Lumber Liquidators Laminate Flooring

June 2015: Some of the class-action lawsuits against Lumber Liquidators were transferred to one court where they will be heard together. (In Re: Lumber Liquidators Chinese-Manufactured Flooring Products Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2627, Judicial Panel on Multi-District Litigation)

Early 2015: Numerous class-action lawsuits were filed against Lumber Liquidators over a period of a few months all alleging that the company falsely markets its laminate flooring as complying with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) standards when it actually does not. The complaints claim that the laminate flooring contains more formaldehyde (a substance that can cause health problems, such as cancer) than the CARB standards allow.
