Maeda-En Mochi Ice Cream

In February 2021, a class-action lawsuit was filed against G.T Japan for allegedly falsely marketing that the flavoring ingredient in Maeda-En Mochi Ice Cream is vanilla when, according to plaintiffs, the ingredients list reveals that the flavor comes from unspecified “Natural Flavor” and testing shows that the vanilla flavor comes from an artificial ingredient. (Cavallero et al v. G.T Japan, Inc., Case No. 21-cv-1077, S.D.N.Y.)
