Market Basket Ground Coffees

In February 2021, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Demoulas Super Markets for allegedly falsely representing the number of cups of coffee that Market Basket ground coffee products will make. Specifically, the complaint claims that the front label of the House Blend Medium Roast ground coffee falsely represents that it makes 79 cups and the front label of the House Blend Medium Roast Decaf ground coffee falsely represents that it makes 76 cups when, according to the complaint, third-party laboratory testing reveals that the products make only 39 and 37 cups, respectively. (Cohen et al v. Demoulas Super Markets, Inc., Case No. 21-cv-10177, D. Mass.)
