Marriott’s “Kobe Beef” Sliders

In October 2013, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Marriott International Inc. alleging that it falsely represents that “Kobe beef” sliders contain high-quality Japanese “Kobe beef” when they actually contain a cheaper, inferior quality beef. (Schittino v. Marriott International Inc., Case No. 13ch23202, Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois/County Department, Chancery Division).
