In May 2020, a class-action lawsuit
was filed against S.C. Johnson & Son for allegedly misleadingly advertising Method household cleaning products – including the All-Purpose Cleaner, Squirt and Mop Floor Cleaner, and Granite Cleaner – as “non-toxic” when, according to the complaint, the products contain ingredients that are harmful to people, pets, and the environment.
