February 2013: A federal judge granted Microsoft’s motion to compel arbitration to resolve the dispute and dismissed the case.

December 2012: This lawsuit was transferred to federal court. (Case No. 12-cv-10641, C. D. CA.)

November 2012: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Microsoft for allegedly misrepresenting the storage capacity of its Surface RT tablets. Specifically, the complaint alleges that the marketing for the tablets does not disclose that 16 GB of the advertised storage space (or 50% of the 32 GB tablet and 25% of the 64 GB tablet) is used for the Windows RT operating system.
