A false advertising class-action lawsuit was filed against Mophie for allegedly falsely advertising that its Juice Pack Plus for iPhone 6/6s extends the battery life of devices when it actually damages the internal battery of the device. The lawsuit was filed in state court in October 2016 and transferred to federal court in December 2016. (Stotz et al v. Mophie Inc., Case No. 16-cv-8898, C. D. CA.)
