Nutronics Labs IGF-1 Plus

What? Bambi to your rescue? Nutronics Labs claims that its deer antler sprays – such as IGF-1 Plus supplements – will provide consumers with many health benefits. Wait a second . . . What? Deer antler spray? That’s right. These supplements, according to the site, are made from the velvet covering the bone and cartilage that harden into a deer’s antlers. Deer antler velvet contains Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1), according to the site. Among other things, the company claims that its IGF-1 Plus supplements will provide consumers with many bodybuilding and anti-aging benefits, such as:

  • Improve mental clarity
  • Increase bone density
  • Improve hair growth
  • Promote healthy skin
  • Increase energy
  • Support weight loss
  • Improve muscle definition

But before you purchase deer antler spray, be sure to review the disclaimers on the website. These disclaimers state, among other things, that:

  • “These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.”
  • “You should consult with a health care professional before starting any supplementation program.”
  • “Individual results may vary.”

Here are a couple more reasons to be suspicious of the company’s health claims:

  • The company responded to a BBB request for evidence that supported its marketing claims with evidence that did not support the claims. The BBB found that there were issues with the company’s advertising and gave the company an F-rating. The BBB later amended its rating of the company and gave it an A+. • Consumers filed a class-action lawsuit alleging that the company represents that its supplements will provide certain health benefits without scientific evidence to support the claims. The parties to the lawsuit later agreed to resolve the claims and the case was dismissed.
