Overdraft Fees at Cabrillo Credit Union

In December 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Cabrillo Credit Union for allegedly misrepresenting that it assesses overdraft fees using the actual balance of an account when, according to the complaint, the credit union determines if a debit card or ATM transaction overdraws an account using an artificial account balance. (Cortes et al v. Cabrillo Credit Union, Case No. 20-cv-2375, S.D. Cal.)
