Prices in the Walmart App

January 2020: This case was transferred from state court to federal court. (Case No. 20-cv-23, C. D. Cal.)

October 2019: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Walmart for allegedly falsely listing lower prices in its app than it charges in stores. Specifically, plaintiffs claim that Walmart’s app shows that the price of Huggies Simply Clean Baby Wipes is $5.44 and the price of Huggies Pull-Ups Girls’ Training Pants is $8.97 when, according to the complaint, the actual price of these items in stores is $12.54 and $31.84, respectively. (Maynez et al v. Walmart, Inc., Case No. 19STCV36866, California State Court – Los Angeles)
