May 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Grand Canyon University for allegedly fraudulently marketing unaccredited programs for degrees in healthcare and education to prospective students when, according to plaintiffs, the courses will not qualify students to get professional licenses. (Ogdon et al v. Grand Canyon University, Inc. et al, Case No. 20-cv-709, E.D. Cal.)
