July 2017: A class-action lawsuit was filed against several defendants, including Henkel Consumer Goods and The Dial Corporation, for allegedly deceptively promising rebates from Samsung and Home Depot, among others, to consumers who purchase certain products – such as Right Guard Xtreme Precision Dry Spray Antiperspirant – when, according to plaintiffs, the rebate checks were drawn on a closed bank account. (Sacchi et al v. Henkel AG & Company, KGaA, Henkel Consumer Goods Inc., Henkel Corp., The Dial Corp., and Does 1-10, Case No. 17-cv-4889, D. NJ.)
