Ruffles Baked Cheddar and Sour Cream Potato Chips

January 2021: This case was voluntarily dismissed with prejudice, the reasons for which have not been disclosed.

October 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Frito-Lay for allegedly misleadingly marketing that one of the characterizing flavors in Ruffles Baked Cheddar and Sour Cream Potato Chips is sour cream when, according to plaintiffs, the sour cream flavor comes from an artificial ingredient. (Vado et al v. Frito-Lay Inc., Case No. 20-cv-2055, S.D. Cal.)
