August 2013: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Iovate Health Services for allegedly falsely advertising its Six Star Pro Nutrition N.O. Fury, a dietary and sports supplement containing nitric oxide. Specifically, consumers claim that the supplement is falsely marketed as increasing formation of nitric oxide in the blood, increasing circulation of oxygen and nutrients, enhancing athletic performance, increasing lean muscle mass, and providing muscle “pumps.” (Hesano et al. v. Iovate Health Sciences, Inc. et al., Case No. 13-cv-1960, S. D. CA.).
