Smoked Gouda Artisan Cheeses from Dietz & Watson

In August 2020, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Dietz & Watson for allegedly misleadingly marketing that the flavor in its Smoked Gouda Artisan Cheese comes from being smoked when, according to plaintiffs, the ingredients list reveals that the flavor comes from an added ingredient (specifically, “Natural Smoke Flavoring”) instead of from being smoked. (Watson et al v. Dietz & Watson, Inc., Case No. 20-cv-6550, S.D.N.Y.)
