Smoked White Cheddar Deli Sliced Cheese

In January 2021, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Aldi, Inc. for allegedly falsely advertising that the flavor in its Smoked White Cheddar Deli Sliced Cheese comes from being smoked over wood chips when, according to the complaint, the ingredients list reveals that the flavor comes from an added ingredient (“Natural Smoke Flavor”). (Fleischer et al v. Aldi Inc., Case No. 21-cv-443, E.D.N.Y.)
