Spirit Airlines Prices

In August 2017, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Spirit Airlines for allegedly using bait-and-switch marketing tactics. Specifically, the complaint alleges that the airline misleadingly represents that it is a “low-cost, low-fare airline” offering affordable travel when, according to plaintiffs, customers pay more than the advertised price because the airline charges additional fees that are not adequately disclosed. (Cox et al v. Spirit Airlines, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-5172, E. D. NY.)
