June 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against The New York Times for allegedly failing to adequately disclose that consumers who sign up on the website or app are enrolled in a program that automatically renews their subscriptions resulting in consumers being charged without their express informed consent. (Moses et al v. The New York Times Company d/b/a The New York Times, Case No. 20-cv-4658, S.D.N.Y.)
