March 2017: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Subway for allegedly deceptively marketing products – including its oven roasted chicken sandwiches and sweet onion chicken teriyaki – as containing chicken when, according to plaintiffs, the chicken used in the products is a combination of approximately 50% chicken and 50% preservatives and fillers. (Moskowitz et al v. Doctor’s Associates, Inc., Case No. 17-cv-387, D. Conn.)
