Super Beta Prostate

A TINA.org reader alerted us to this not so super free trial.

“If you’re a man, then you can’t afford to miss this announcement,” warns this commercial.

But what is this shocking announcement that men simply cannot go without? It’s for Super Beta Prostate. (You might have also heard about the supplement in a radio ad like this one.)

The television ad above claims that if you take Super Beta Prostate you will not only have a “healthier romantic life” but also:

  • “Less urges to urinate”
  • “More sleep with less interruptions”
  • “Easier bladder emptying”

All of this is guaranteed. Yet, there are no scientific studies on the site that prove the supplement’s efficacy. In fact, the company’s website actually has seven disclaimers on its homepage noting “results not typical.”

But wait, there’s more. Super Beta Prostate advertises that you can get a “free” bottle. But free doesn’t always mean free. First, you have to pay shipping and handling for the “free” bottle. The company’s web page also states: “For added convenience, we also include membership to our exclusive preferred customer program — so you never have to miss a day of Super Beta Prostate.”

So this means that 30 days after your original order, your card will be charged $39.95 plus shipping and you will continue to get charged until you cancel. That’s known as a negative-option offer.

New Vitality Co. — aka NAC Marketing Company — the maker of Super Beta Prostate, has 70 complaints with the BBB, many of which are from customers who said they were unaware they were signing up for automatic shipments and that they were continually billed after canceling.
