September 6, 2019: The DSSRC, which opened an investigation into Team National’s marketing as a result of TINA.org’s complaint, published its decision finding that Team National’s marketing materials include income results that can not be generally expected by the typical distributor, and recommending that the company either remove atypical earnings claims or modify them to include clear and conspicuous disclosures regarding the generally expected income of Team National distributors.

April 30, 2019: TINA.org files a complaint with the Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council (DSSRC) regarding Team National’s deceptive marketing.

June 14, 2018: After seeing no noticeable changes in Team National’s use of deceptive income claims and finding more than 100 additional examples, TINA.org files complaint letters with the Federal Trade Commission and Florida Attorney General urging them both to investigate Team National and take appropriate enforcement action.

December 20, 2017: Team National responds to TINA.org stating, among other things, that it takes “very seriously the allegations in [TINA.org’s] letter … and are seriously investigating these claims.”

December 18, 2017: TINA.org sends letter to Team National notifying it of TINA.org’s findings of more than 80 exaggerated income claims made by the company and its distributors.
