August 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Hartford Underwriters Insurance Company for allegedly falsely advertising that the monthly premium for its automobile insurance policies would be a specific price per month when, according to plaintiffs, the insurance company does not disclose that it increases the amount of monthly premiums to double the advertised price. (Morrison et al v. Hartford Underwriters Insurance Company, Case No. BCV-20-101826, California State Court – Kern County)
